God! I just love parties and especially the engagement parties, even more than wedding parties. Actually, the cloud of romance which surrounds the engagement parties, making everything appear rosy, usually settles down as muck in their eyes by the time couples walk down the aisle.

Another couple who is walking through the pink cloud right now is Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer who have officially announced their engagement on August 5, 2009. The actors first met on the sets of the True Blood TV Show where Paquin portrays Sookie Stackhouse, the pretty psychic barmaid opposite Moyer who is portraying bloodsucking 175 year old vampire Bill Compton. They are a couple since February 24, 2009.

In a candid confession Paquin admitted that filming the steamy love scenes… and there were plenty of them… were much easier because it starred Moyer, her beau.”Obviously, if you’re already with that person then you’re not having to sort of get over the ‘Wow, I’m naked with someone that I don’t even know the middle name of,’” she said.

She further added “I think that regardless of what kind of scene you’re doing, the better you know the person you’re working with and the more comfortable you are with them, the more open and real your performance can be. And that goes for stunt scenes and heavy emotional scenes and sex scenes. OK, so I have a little bit of a leg up in that particular area with my on-screen [partner].”

Moyer already has two children from earlier relationships: a son, Billy, born in 2000, and a daughter, Lilac, born in 2002.

True Blood, the HBO Network vampire drama, is all set to return with a second season on this Sunday, June 14^th, 2009 at 9 PM.  Series is based on Charlaine Harris’ books named ‘Southern Vampire’ and it seems that it would diverge from the original sources after second season is kicked off.

True Blood is liked by people throughout the world for its unique plot involving human and vampires as they try to co-exist in the small Southern town of Bon Temps, Louisiana. First season of True Blood did a good job airing 12 episodes, each receiving a good response from the viewers. Once again, fans are ready to catch the vampires as they would fight, would suck blood and of course, make out with their sexy girlfriends. The second season would pick up exactly from the point where it was left by the first season finale ‘You’ll Be the Death of Me’.

The second season opener is entitled ‘Nothing but the Blood. Here’s a little glimpse of the plot of the episode: we would see that another murder is committed in the small town of Bon Temps, Louisiana, leaving the whole town reeling. Jessica, a new teenage vampire, would be seen and Bill and Sookie’s relationship won’t be left unaffected by her appearance. On the other hand, Sam’s somehow mysterious past with Maryanne would also be made public. Next episode in line is Keep This Party Going, to be aired on June 21, 2009. Then would be ‘Scratches’ and the total no. of second season would be 12, most probably.

There’s an episode named Hard-Hearted Hannah. Don’t get so surprised if the episode has some reference to Hannah Montana, the popular teenage drama. It’s just my guess…. Ryan is best known for his role in the former series ‘Home and Away’. Nowadays, he’s busy with ‘True Blood’ series as he portrays one of the leading characters in the show. ‘True Blood‘ is a show where vampires walk into humans’ world and start ruling their world. A Scientific formula produces synthetic blood for vampires to live on and allows them to move in the real world. Hey!! Really, I am very much impressed by the star cast of the series. Well, today I’m in mood to talk about a very dashing personality. Who he is? He’s Ryan Kwanten, playing Jason Stackhouse, small town Louisiana hillbilly who has an insatiable appetite for bedding women. Read, what people have to say about his character- the New York Times calls it a ‘strapping, dimwitted Casanova’ and the Washington Post writes him as ‘the randiest non-vampire in the area’. New Zealand Oscar winner, Anna Paquin, plays Sookie Stackhouse on ‘True Blood‘ series. Sookie is a barmaid who has an ability to read others’ mind. She can easily read what people think. She’s my favorite character on the series and not only me; in fact, every viewer of the show praises the acting skills of this gorgeous lady.

Yesterday, I read her interview given to some private channel, where she answered many questions related to her personal as well professional life. When she was asked about her experience as Sookie on ‘Til Death’, she said, “The drinking blood is very corn syrupy.  They asked if I wanted sugar-free blood, and I said, Sure.  But at six in the morning when it is freezing cold, you are covered in goo, and you are sucking on a prosthetic arm, you think, maybe I should have said yes to the watermelon-flavored blood”.

In ‘True Blood’, she falls in love with Bill, a 175 year old vampire and I really like the chemistry between a human and a vampire. She meets him in the season opener and I still remember their first meet: - Sookie sees an undead patron at the bar she works in and gets attracted towards him. She saves him and the Vampire introduces himself as Bill. It’s the beginning of romance between them. She loves him a lot but doesn’t reveal her mind-reading ability to him and whenever he asks, who she is? She simply replies- a waitress.

Although just two episodes were aired during the first season, still it was liked by the viewers and when they announced a second season of series- it was like a pleasant and a very quick surprise for the fans who’re devastated by the way, they had wrapped-up the first season of show.

wooooo…. Vampires are here!

The vampire drama ‘True Blood‘ is renewed by the network for a second season. Only two episodes were aired during the first season of series and the HBO network has announced a second season of the show. Production of new episodes will begin next year in Los Angeles.

Well, honestly, I love the plot of the show. It has a very unique story line… have you ever seen such kinda series where Science frees vampires to walk openly in the world of humans. I’ve watched just two episodes of first season and I’m crazy to watch more episodes. Season first opener ‘Strange Love’ grabbed 1.4 million viewers and it attracted 4 million viewers with repeat airings. What a brilliant success…….

I think it’s the first incident in TV history when series declares the second episode of the season as ‘Season finale’. It was a little disappointing decision made by the HBO network, but they managed it smartly, with an announcement of second season. And, we’re also not left to wait for long. Show will be back early next year.

If you’re new to the show- it’s a vampire drama which shows what happens when vampire walk into the world of humans and start ruling it. Another twist occurs when a vampire falls in love with a human. Whether the relationship succeeds or it doesn’t work…… to get the answer, we’ll have to wait till the next season of series.
